There is that one episode of Gargoyles the show where I think Lexington? Gets caught up being told something that saddens and shocks him, right before the sun makes them all turn to stone, and the result is he gets frozen in a pose that really looks more gargoyle-like than any of the other poises.

I think given that kind of mixed look of sadness and shouting that is on gargoyles (mostly to make them look like either defenders or to have a proper spout for water mains) is more easily gotten by imagining them yawning.

If I was forced to just barf water off of a building all day though I would look pretty sad too, though.
